So why am I away right now

I am currently in Melbourne and I will be back in Maroochydore in just over a week. I should be back in the shed on the 25th of June if all goes well.

While some of you are aware of why I have disappeared for a little while, I have been meaning to let you all know officially with a post for a while now. So here we go.

I am currently getting ready to participate in the charity driver, "Shitbox Rally". I am in Melbourne because I will be starting the drive from here to Alice Springs on Saturday morning, which we should make it to by next Friday afternoon. We have one final day of raising money while in Alice Springs on the Saturday before I help drive the car back to Adelaide on the Sunday. At this point I will jump on a plane on Monday morning to fly back to Brisbane before making it back to the Sunshine Coast later that day.

We are driving my friend's Mitsubishi Scorpion from here to there and camping on the side of the road as we go. We are one of 250 cars participating in the winter rally, which not only raises money for the Cancer Council but also supports the 6 local towns that we will be stopping at along the way.

This is a great cause and something that I have been looking forward to for a while. I can still be contacted through WhatsApp if needed on the trip, but please try to get one of your leaders to help you before you contact me through WhatsApp. While we are traveling through the very west of NSW and QLD, we will have limited mobile coverage, but I will do my best to get to issues when they come up.

I will need to do payroll tomorrow night, so please get your times and numbers in as soon as you can so I can finalise these before I head off.
