Just a quick update for everyone

We have two months left in the year as of Wednesday, that is crazy. I just wanted to put a quick post out there to cover a few points that have happened in the last few days.

Firstly, I have sold my Ute. This means a few things, one is we have money for wages this week which is cool, secondly, I don't have a personal vehicle so I will be using one of the 3 seater vans for a bit as my vehicle. What this also means is I have paid out one of the Sprinters in the fleet, making it two vans we own outright curranty.

Secondly, I still have three vans I am trying to sell, which ones they are will be determined by the end of the week. If you hear of anyone wanting to buy a van, please let me know. once these vans are sold, we will have cut down our outgoing cash expenses by a good amount, which along with a few other changes, should secure our future.

Thirdly, welcome aboard the new Full time staff, congratulations on the new role and with this change, combined with the above savings, this will help the company really be in a good place for the coming year. Now we need to work on getting the full time staff enough parcels each day to hit the hours they need to hit, so if you can help me out with this that would be greatly appreciated.

Fourth, Super payments have been missed while I was away on holidays because my mind was not on that. I will start catching this up in the next couple of weeks and get the payments back to weekly by the end of the year. Sorry for this.

Fifth, there have been a few changes with the scanner today, you can now card direct to parcel lockers in very select situations. Please don't do this. There is a list of over 10 reasons not to do this and you do need to know what is in the parcel to do it, which we don't. So just card to the Post Office in all situations still. There is also a request that we take Coles and Woolworths parcels to the customer service desk and don't card them as their uniforms are being delivered through us know.

Sixth, The Christmas party has slipped my mind and I currently do not have plans. I am thinking of a few potential plans, but with cash being so tight right now, it wont be massive and probably have to be two separate ones for each area. However, I will be sending out options for gift vouchers soon, so please fill that out and get back to me as soon as you can.

Seventh, I am currently very focused on 4 week cycles, of which we have just finished the third and are now starting the fourth week of the cycle. This is my pay cycle and currently, with two weeks of data we are actually tracking busier then we were in the first two weeks of the last cycle. Gympie is marginally quieter then it was for the same period last cycle, but Baringa is nearly 5% up for the same period. On that note, the projections for this week and next week show parcels numbers to steady with the week leading up to Sunday the 19th of November probably seeing a jump of about 30% on our current numbers.

Finally, I am in discussions with a new time keeping company which should make the whole process of clock in and out a lot easier and it should make my life a lot easier with the full timers coming on board then what it will be with the current company. The main reason however, it is way cheaper then the current company and can do everything I need to do for payroll in the one place, which is a great win. Look out for more on this by the end of the week.

Not really a quick update in the end but it allowed me to cover a lot of topics at once. Thankyou all for your patience and help since I have been back, I think we have made some good changes and I am enjoying working again a lot more then I have in a long time.
