Changes to Superannuation payments

Last year, I changed from quarterly Superannuation payments to weekly payments to ensure no one got behind on payments while we were struggling with finances. This helped me avoid getting behind like I often did in previous years.

Now that I have changed my payroll system to Microkeeper and the company is finally going through the process of eliminating its debt, a couple of things will change in May. Microkeeper has changed the way they are doing Superannuation payments and will be charging me 50 cents per staff member I pay super to weekly. It is only a small amount, but when cash is really tight for the business, I need to save every dollar I can.

Microkeeper won't charge me when I pay my superannuation monthly, so once we hit May, all superannuation payments will become monthly. I will then make the transfer on the first of every month. I have a separate account I will be putting the money into each week to make sure I keep on top of the payments, but on your end, you will see the month in your accounts at the start of the following month, still ahead of my obligations.

Happy to discuss this when I am in the sheds over the coming week, so if you have any questions, please ask me when you see me.
